Imphal, October 17 2012:
In the wake of reported arrest of one Maibam Joychandra alias Ronelson son of Maibam Gopal by 27 AR, the proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has claimed that it has exposed the secret agenda of IGAR (S) who uses surrendered UG cadres in many anti-social activities.
In a statement signed by its Secretary Publicity T Leishemba, RPF pointed out that Joychandra had surrendered to the IGAR (S) in a surrender ceremony held at HQ IGAR (S) on September 6, 2010 using the name of PLA.
However, the arrest of Joychandra by 27 AR recently from Hiyanglam has confirmed that Assam Rifles is using such surrendered cadres to tarnish the image of the true revolutionary organisations in Manipur.
The matter may be due to lack of communications between the 27 AR and IGAR (S) but it has exposed the true nature of the Assam Rifles in the state.
RPF urged all the parents of surrendered persons to check the whereabouts of their sons unless they want to lose them forever.
The statement further forewarned that many more skeletons are likely to come out of the cupboard after some years in different parts of the state as happened in Northern India, Syria, Iraq and Iran.
It also cautioned the people of the state to raise their voice and choose the right path before such incidents became a common occurrence in the state.
