MoS Dr Bharati inspects health infrastructure in Chandel

A ministerial team led by union minister of state for Health & Family Welfare Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar and Health & F/W minister Dr S Ranjan Singh on Tuesday visited Chandel district headquarters and held a meeting with the district administration, DLO and health project partners at the conference hall at DC office complex, Chandel.
During the meeting, different primary and subsidiary health related issues were discussed.
The review meeting was attended by officials from Health department, Planning department, District Administration Chandel led by deputy commissioner, District Level Officials from Health, Education, ICDS, Social Welfare, MSPDCL (Power Department), PMGSY (Rural Engineering Department), Public Health Engineering department (PHED), Agriculture department, Horticulture and Soil Conservation department and Veterinary department.
During the meeting, the MoS also reviewed manpower and HR status of District Hospital, CHCs, PHs and PHSCs of Chan del District, service delivery of health centres, funding positions of NHM under State Health Society, Manipur and District Health Society, Chandel.
Further, Dr Bharati instructed the state Health department to give more focus on Aspirational District for improving the parameters given by NITI Aayog as a part of the Aspirational District Programme across the nation, it informed.
Later, the ministerial team visited District Hospital, Chandel and inspected different departments and wards of the hospital.
The team reviewed the health schemes of the central government and interacted with the doctors, nurses, technicians and other staff of the hospital, followed by a tree plantation programme in the hospital campus.
Speaking to media persons, Dr Bharati pointed out that the government, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, has introduced many health care and welfare schemes for the people with an aim to bring a high-quality healthcare system in the country.
Chandel district, being the only selected aspirational dis trict in the state, will have the required infrastructure soon.
Officials concerned and stakeholders will be instructed and discussed with for bringing a new change, she added.
On the other hand, Dr S Ranjan said that the vision of PM Modi for digitization of healthcare system will be achieved.
All possible help will be extended to achieve the goal for quality healthcare system, he added.
The ministerial team also included state's health services director Dr K Rajo Singh, NHM director Dr Somorjit Ningombam, deputy director Dr Prabin, other officials and staff of the health department.
Later, the team also paid a visit to Khongjom War Memorial Complex.
