Imphal, September 13 2012:
Demanding to redress the problem of unavailability of Teacher's Eligibility Test (TET) application form in the hill districts of the state, Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) has expressed strong resentment over issuing of TET forms only in Imphal city.
In a statement, SDSA President LR John pointed out that in the past, TET forms were issued in the respective hill districts.
However, this year it is being issued only in Imphal and it is causing innumerable hardship.
The hardship of the aspiring candidates has been further compounded as the forms are being issued only from one center making the candidates to wait for even as long as three days to get a form.
Demanding issuing of TET form in hill districts as done in the past and conduct the examination at the respective districts, SDSA has also warned of resorting to various extreme forms of democratic agitation in case the demand is not met by the authorities concerned.
Meanwhile, to discuss the future course of action, a Joint Action Committee has formed and convened an emergency general meeting for all the TET intending candidates at Mini Stadium, Senapati at 10 am on September 15, according to a statement by Convenor of the JAC SK Naga.
