Kangpokpi observes Black Day

Kangpokpi, September 13 2012:
Kangpokpi Youth Union in collaboration with the Kangpokpi Town Committee and Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization organized a Candle Light Service to commemorate the 19th Kuki Black Day � Sahnit Nikho at Kangpokpi near Brig.

The Candle Light Service started at around 6 pm and ended at 7 pm.
Rev.Tongjam, Chairman Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship, Maj.
Mahesh, CO 43 Assam Rifles, Kangpokpi, Haopu Vaiphei, OC Kangpokpi Police Station, leaders of KTC, KWWO, KYU and many individuals of Kangpokpi participated in the service.

By the sideline of the observation Hechon, president of the Kangpokpi Youth Union addressed some local media and said that the main objective of the KYU in organizing the Candle Light Service in commemoration of the Kuki Black Day is to bring justice to those innocent victims of the Kuki-Naga ethnic clash.
He further said that until justice is done observation of the Kuki Black Day would be organized.
