NIT session to start from July

Imphal, February 10 2013 :
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh today inspected the construction site of National Institute of Technology (NIT) at Langol and instructed concerned engineers to immediately start the ground leveling work.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Education Minister Moirangthem Okendro and Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West K Radhakumar during the inspection visit.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the inspection visit, Chief Minister Ibobi pointed out that at least 300 acres of land would be required for construction of the NIT complex at Langol.
Compensation to those patta holders in Langol whose lands have been affected would be paid off shortly.
The Chief Minister informed that the session of NIT is being targeted to commence from July this year.
During the inspection visit, the Chief Minister called up the concerned engineers and instructed them to immediately start the process of ground leveling work.
The CM and his team also inspected the work progress of Government Polytechnic.
Earlier during the visit, the Chief Minister landed at the office of Directorate of Education (S) at Lamphelpat and inspected the condition of existing infrastructure there.
