Kaina to be developed as tourist destination: CM

Chief Minister O Ibobi yesterday visited Shri Shri Govindajee Janmasthan at Kaina in connection with the development of the complex as a tourist destination.
Speaking on the occasion, Ibobi said that the complex is to be developed as a tourist destination under the fund released from the Tourism Ministry of Government of India.
Assuring that all the constructions and development works will be done transparently, the Chief Minister added that the constructions of compound fencing, main gate and parking lot shall be taken up first and other components like tourist lodge, cafeteria, public utility facilities, solar lighting etc.

Acknowledging the need for good planning before commencing the development works, the Chief Minister also appealed to experts and all concerned for extending suggestions and cooperation in this regard.
During the visit, the Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA Andro A/C Th.Shyamkumar, Ex-MLA Dr Kh Loken, Commissioner of Art and Culture Dr RK Nimai, Director of Art and Culture K Sobita Devi, Project Director of MDS Y Ningtham, former Chief Architect Mangi Singh, former Chief Engineer of PWD E.Binoy Singh, as well as cultural activists Aribam Syam Sharma and Ratan Thiyam among others.
P Bharat Singh, Retd.IAS officer, who is also the President of Pangambam Shagei Seva Committee, Kaina was also present on the occasion.
