CM inaugurates YVU dairy plant

Imphal, January 13 2014 :
A 5,000 litre capacity dairy milk processing plant was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Manipur O Ibobi Singh at Waiview Bhavan, Thoubal Wangmataba in Thoubal district on Monday.
Young Volunteers Union, Thoubal, (YVU), an NGO run by energetic youths of Thoubal district has set up the plant under the motto "Help us to live, we'll let you live, and let's live together" .
During the occasion, Ibobi highlighted the need for a lot of private entrepreneurships to solve unemployment problem in the state.
Ibobi said Manipur will prosper if the number of entrepreneurs increases, which in turn will solve the unemployment problem in the state.
The Chief Minister said he was optimistic that the success of the new industry will be determined by the height of loss and gain, observed that good and firm relations with farmers are important parts of the plant which is powered by separate power transformers to operate its cold storage for 24 hours.
He said sustenance of the plant depends on sufficient availability of fodder to feed milk-giving cows.
He suggested that growing plenty of hays in open fields will benefit both the plant and farmers.
Admitting that the major headache of the Government is that a lot of educated youths in the state are unemployed, Ibobi stressed on keeping up with work culture among the these youths that will certainly bring peace at the end.
He said the Government cannot provide jobs to all and hence work culture is the important element in solving the unemployment problem.
