Four cases detected, caseload dips

Imphal, March 25 2022:
The state on Friday reported only four new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 733 samples tested and registered 0.55 per cent positivity rate against 0.63 per cent recorded on Thursday.
As no death cases were reported in the last 24 hours, the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, 2 patients were discharged from home isolation.
However, 50 patients already discharged earlier were reported only on Friday taking the total number of discharged cases in the last 24 hours to 52.With the reduction of 52 cases, the number of active cases came down to 33 out of which 7 (21.21 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 296 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 146 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 11,282 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 287 new positive cases and 8 fatalities.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 31 and 0 respectively.
According to official reports, all the four fresh cases (3 male & 1 female) are from among the general population and their samples were confirmed at other testing centres (4) .
The positive cases are from Imphal West (3) and Jiribam (1) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,070 while number of recovered cases is 1,34,917 (general population - 1,29,912 and CAPF personnel - 5,005) and number of active cases is 33 (general population - 31 and CAPF personnel - 2) .
The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent.
A total of 281 D-type and 97 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 1566 vaccine doses administered on Thursday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated individuals to 15,31,572, out of which 11,77,311 had received second doses and 65,041 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48702), Imphal East (30416), Thoubal (10146), Churachandpur (11049), Kangpokpi (3128), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9822), Senapati (2489), Ukhrul (3269), Kakching (6887), Chandel (2716), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1198), Jiribam (1111) Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67) Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,173 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,652 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,15,045 tests per million population against the national average of 5,59,821 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent while the cumulative test rate stands at 8.58 per cent.
