State logs seven new cases, 1.92 pc TPR

Imphal, April 07 2022:
The state on Thursday reported seven new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 364 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 1.92 per cent positivity rate against 0.96 per cent recorded on Wednesday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second dose of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, 5 patients were discharged from home isolation (1) and Covid Care facilities (4) .
Number of active cases came down to 46 out of which 23 (50 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 299 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 189 in RIMS.
Out of the 16 districts, only three reported fresh Covid cases on Thursday.
So far, the state has recorded 11,355 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 49 new positive cases and no fatality.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 49 and 0 respectively.
According to official reports, all the seven fresh cases (2 male & 5 female) are from among the general population and they are from Imphal East (1), Imphal West (4) and Thoubal (2) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,143 (general population - 1,32,129 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,34,977 (general population - 1,29,970 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 46 (general population - 46 and CAPF personnel - 0) .
The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent.
A total of 113 D-type and 0 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
Whereas, 1815 vaccine doses were administered on Wednesday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,45,907; out of which 11,85,796 had received the second dose and 67,091 administered the precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,724), Imphal East (30,435), Thoubal (10,151), Churachandpur (11,052), Kangpokpi (3130), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9831), Senapati (2491), Ukhrul (3271), Kakching (6892), Chandel (2718), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1200), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,197 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,653 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,16,943 tests per million population against the national average of 5,64,519 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent while the cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.55 per cent.
