Manipur Integrity & Solidarity Day observed

The 13th Manipur Integrity and Solidarity Day observance was held under the joint aegis of Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL) and National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO) at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound here today.
The observance function was graced by Konthoujam Sakhi Leima, Chairperson of Manipur Integrity and Solidarity Day Observation Committee; Sunil Karam, Vice Chairperson of Manipur Integrity and Solidarity Day Observation Committee; Ex-Minister RV Mingthing; DH Gaikhemmei, Vice President of Zeliangrong Union, Imphal Zone; Thangkhosei Khongsai, President of Kuki Inpi, Manipur; Dr M Baharuddin Shah, Asst Professor in Dept of Geography, GP Women's College; Pastor Kumsong Wanbe, Treasurer of Koireng bible Translation; Areng Zatak, President of Chiru Union; S Boilen Kom, Chief of Khongnangpokpi village as presidium members.
Rishikanta Yumnam, Convener of the Manipur Integrity and Solidarity Day observation committee, while delivering the key note address stated that the integrity of the State is still at stake with various forces trying to disintegrate the people of the State.
As such we all need to stick together as one and build up a strong and unified society.
Among those who spoke on the occasion, RV Mingthing observed that language is something that could bring about integrity among the different groups of people living in Manipur.
It is also one of the means to bring love and oneness among the different communities.
Without knowing Manipuri language, a man or a woman cannot become MLA or Minister to serve the people.
