Imphal, September 28 2013 :
The Congress Governments both at the Centre and the State are like Hospital without any medicines or a kitchen whose fire has been extinguished long time back, Atul Kumar Anjan, National General Secretary, CPI has ridiculed.
Talking to media persons at Irabot Bhawan here today, Atul Kumar Anjan, who arrived at Imphal yesterday to participate in the 117th birth anniversary of late Communist leader Hijam Irabot, alleged that the Congress Government has failed to provide justice to the people of the State.
It is no in position to rule like a responsible government and as such the people have been suffering like hell.
He further stated that the though the Prime Minister of India has approved the constitution of Seventh Pay Commission in the country which is likely to be implemented from January 1, 2016, the Congress led Government in the State has not been able to fully implement 6th Pay Commission.
This clearly shows that the Congress rule in the State has failed totally.
Observing that there can be no development without peace, the CPI leader appealed to the different UG groups in the State to come out and have political dialogue with the government for directing the State towards the path of development and prosperity.
He also pointed out the need to solve the border fencing issue along the Indo-Myanmar boundary at Moreh and categorically stated that not an inch of Manipur's land can be given away to Myanmar at all.
The CPI is also trying its level best to bring about a government not ruled by either the Congress or the BJP because both parties are same with bandits as their leaders, he added.
Anjan went on to state that the act of Rahul Gandhi showing disapproval to the Ordinance on Convicted Law Makers is nothing but a 'drama' to create a favourable image of the Congress party in view of the mounting pressures against Ordinance from all sides.
The CPI is against the Ordinance and will never approve it.
The Party will select the best and the purest candidates and field for the Lok Sabha Elections.
No looters, rapists and criminals will be allowed to contest in the election, he maintained.
