The State Government has decided to invest 35 per cent of the fund sanctioned by the Government of India for Rashtriya Krishi Vigyan Yojana (RKVY) in Agriculture Department during this financial year.
A meeting of Agriculture and allied sectors held today with the Chief Secretary in the chair discussed about which departments and in which areas the amount of Rs 40.80 crore sanctioned by the Centre India for different central sponsored schemes under RKVY for the financial year 2013-14 would be utilised.
The meeting attended by top officials of Horticulture, Veterinary, Fishery, Cooperation, Sericulture and Forest departments agreed to invest 35 per cent of this year's RKVY fund (Rs 40.80 crore) in Agriculture Department.
the remaining 65 per cent would be shared among the other six Departments.
