Ex Chief Minister Okram Ibobi has said that a large number of people came to participate in the public meeting organised for AICC president Rahul Gandhi at Hapta Kangjeibung today.

Speaking to media persons at Congress Bhawan today, Ibobi said that Rahul Gandhi arrived in Manipur yesterday and he participated in a public rally today, apart from holding an interaction with numerous students and youth at Manipur State Film Development Society.
During the said interactive session, the students and youth asked many questions to which Rahul Gandhi satisfactorily gave his opinions as well as the Congress party's stand, he added.
Ibobi the clarified that he should have said Prime Minister instead of Chief Minister in his statement and added that the error occurred due to time constraint and pressure as Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to leave Imphal for Tripura.
He also said that Rahul Gandhi met various MPCC leaders, workers and discussed about the points which can be included in the Congress manifesto.
On the other hand, MPCC president Gaikhangam wished the people of the State on the occasion of Yaoshang festival.
