Herojit continue to shine at Special Olympic World Summer Games

Manipur's N Herojit continued to shine at the Special Olympic World Summer Games which is underway in Abu Dhabi as he collected two silver medals for India after his gold medal stint on March 17.Herojit who won a gold medal in the 200 m event with a best time of 24.35 seconds, was second in the 100 m run by taking 12.17 seconds to win his first silver medal at the games.
United States' Tucker Christopher finished first in this event as he completes the course in 11.99 seconds while Dimitras Drosos Loannis of Hellas settled for the bronze medal with a time of 12.35 seconds.
Herojit, son of Nandeibam Ibomcha and Nandeibam ongbi Sumati Devi of Kongbam Makha Nandeibam Leikai, fetched his 3rd medal in the form of another silver medal in the 4*1000 m relay event with a 45.62 seconds finish.
It may be mentioned that 2 athletes and 2 officials from Manipur are in the 356 member Indian contingent at the games which began on March 14 .
