Giant Himalayan Lily which is said to be found only in the Himalayan mountain ranges, China and Myanmar has been found blooming at Liyai Khullen, Senapati.
Notably, Barak River originates from Liyai Khullen.
Giant Himalayan Lily is as large as 3.5 feet and it generally blooms between mid-May and June.
The unique white lily is blooming with all its splendour in the forest of Liyai Khullen, said one Veronica of the village.
She said that the Giant Himalayan Lily is known as Bevoi in the local dialect and it is being protected by members of the local Baptist Youth Fellowship.
She said that the flower is one of their prized assets.
