TCC refutes Irabanta's family claim

The Tangkhul Co-ordination Committee (TCC) has rubbished the claim made by Irabanta's family while clarifying that the organization did not have any dealings whatsoever with anyone in the matter.
In a press communiqu� issued by Tangkhul Naga Long, the TCC stated that it is constraint to issue a press clarification on the claim that the "TCC has taken Rs.10000 only from Irabanta's family to negotiate for release from the NSCN." The press communiqu� followed a news report carried in one local daily on August 6. "The allegation against TCC is baseless without an iota.
This has created confusion in the mind of conscious people and shock to the TCC," it stated.
Further, the TCC stated "any individual who involved would be at own risk and would not reflect the organization." It also shared concern for the aggrieved family and appealed to the responsible party to release Irabanta without any harm on humanitarian ground to pave way for congenial atmosphere to prevail among all communities.
