Two new cases, two recoveries reported

Imphal, May 04 2022:
The state on Wednesday reported two new positive cases of Covid-9 out of 112 samples tested in the last 24 hours, registering 1.79 per cent positivity rate against 0.69 per cent recorded on Tuesday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, two patients were discharged from home isolation.
Number of active cases rose to 7 out of which 1 (14.29 per cent) are in home isolation.
According to official reports, both the fresh cases (1 male & 1 female) are from among the general population and they are from Imphal West and Chandel districts.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,224 (general population -1,32,210 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,097 (general population -1,30,090 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 7 (general population) .
The recovery rate stands at 98.45 per cent.
A total of 129 D-type and 12 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 267 vaccine doses administered on Tuesday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,57,626, including 12,06,407 who had received the second dose and 84,571 administered the precautionary doses.
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,223 confirmed cases per mil lion population (based oh projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,671 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,18,881 tests per million population against the national average of 5,96,946 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent while cumulative positivity rate is 8.52 per cent.
