2 test positive, 2 discharged

Even as two Covid-19 positive per-sons were discharged from home isolation during the last 24 hours following recovery, two other persons were confirmed to be positive out of 112 samples tested for the virus which puts the daily positivity rate at 1.8 per cent.
The two individuals who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal West and Chandel, according to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoi-rom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State is now 1,37,224 (general population 1,32,210 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
This figure includes seven active cases, all from general population and 1,35,097 recovered cases (general population 1,30,090 and Central security personnel 5,007) .
The recovery rate as on Wednesday is 98.45 per cent.
The pandemic has so far claimed 2120 lives in the State even though there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
A total of 129 D-type oxygen cylinders and 12 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
There are 300 Covid beds at JNIMS and another 190 at RIMS.
All of them are unoccupied at present.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,48,604 (first dose 15,57,626, second dose 12,06,407 and precautionary dose 84,571) .
Till Tuesday, 51.39 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been vaccinated with both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 61.68 per cent has received the first dose.
