Imphal, September 25 2009:
The proscribed Revolutionary people's Front (RPF) has refuted the allegation of the AR which appeared in some sections of the media on September 23 in the wake of the PLA cadres destroying a vacated building in Sikhong area while countercharging that the AR unleashes mayhem in the name of counter-insurgency.
Reacting to the AR's allegation, a statement issued by the Chief, Department of Publicity, RPF, GM Changjou admitted that the combined force of the PLA the armed wing of the RPF had destroyed a building vacated by the BSF in order to ensure that the building is not re-occupied by the security forces.
It also claimed that the outfit had launched attack on the same post twice before.
The residents around the post had suffered the wrath of the security forces aftermath the attacks.
The camp building was destroyed to prevent public buildings from being occupied by the security forces.
The outfit reiterated that the public should not ever let public buildings occupied by the security forces.
It noted that the security forces have forcibly occupied several public buildings at villages and localities, tourist centres, government school buildings.

It stated that the security forces are exaggerating the charge.
The PLA cadres have their own kit-book system.
The cadres are provided everything from clothing, wrist watch, and mobile handset to laptop.
This could be known well to the AR as they have taken the belongings of the cadres into their possession after arresting them.
The fact that the security forces did not prepare accurate seizure lists could be established from the claim they have made through the media.
The involvement of the security forces in raising and sheltering reactionary groups was known to the people through the media while citing instances of such counter-revolutionary groups including the Thakaba party raised by the CRPF, and the gang group formed by the then CO of 17 Ar at Kangla in collaboration with a person from Langthabal.
Alleging the security forces of using villagers as human shield during the operation against the PLA by the army in Sajiktampak area, the outfit claimed that it had neither resorted to use civilians as human shields nor permit its cadres to resort to such means.
On the allegation that some drivers were also beaten up by the cadres, the statement not only refuted the charge but stated that the drivers might have been beaten up by the security forces.
It also clarified that the outfit did not ever target the SPOs.
The statement pointed out that though the outfit has taken a stance not to attack the 'brethren' state force personnel, the outfit will do whatever it can in order to safeguard themselves if attack by the state force personnel or if they intruded to their places.
