All Manipur Bus Owners' Association (AMBOA) has warned that all passenger buses in the state will surrender their service to the State Director of Transport from October 3 if the government fails to redress the grievances of the bus owners of the state.
A statement issued by the secretary of AMBOA, A Priyokumar informed that the bus owners have faced problem due to the increasing number of Tata Magic vans on all routes of the state.
It alleged the Tata van passenger services of violating the provisions of Section 74 MV Act.
It alleged that the vans have picked and drop passengers at every point like buses which have stage carrier permit.
The Bus Owners' Association has urged the government authority to frame a transport policy to ease the problems of the buses.
Despite repeated reminders to redress the grievances, the government has maintained its silence, the association alleged.
It further warned that all passenger bus services in the state will surrender to the State Transport Director from October 3 if no immediate action is taken.
