Imphal, September 25 2009:
The Kangleipak Communist Party-Military Council (KCP-MC) has today stated that the two 'villagers' of Happyland, Joyson and Benjor reported to be killed by KCP (MC) cadres were involved in the killing of two KCP (MC) cadres while avowing to avenge the killing of two of its 'innocent' Kangleipak Feengang Lanmi (KFL) cadres.
Alleging that two of its cadres were killed in a brutal manner after taking them into custody, Lanheiba Meitei, military affairs secretary of KCP (MC) pledged to take revenge against all those involved in the killing of its 'innocent' cadres.
The KCP (MC) stated that Joyson and Benjor were prime culprits involved in the killing of two KCP (MC) cadres.
They had taken Rs 5000 from the Ksungmung battalion of the Naga Army for the elimination of the KCP men and seized the weapons including the mobile phones which they had re-charged at a house in the village.
It further warned to strike the 'frontal organisations' if they were found involved in the killing.
Stating that the commander of the first unit of the outfit's Lanjaba Tenggol,'Capt' Regan alias Tompok and a cadre, Soreishang alias Litpa were killed in a very inhumane manner allegedly by the Kisungmung Bn of the NSCN (IM), the outfit will lay hands on all those involved in the killing.
Though the outfit did not invite communal hostilities, the outfit will give fitting punishment to those who pose a challenge to the outfit whether they be children or women, the outfit asserted.
Reacting to the statement of the NSCN (IM) who denied involvement in the incident, the KCP statement asked whether the Kisungmung battalion is not a part of the NSCN (IM) or is the outfit too shy of owning up the incident because of the brutality of the culprits in eliminating the two cadres.
Had there been an encounter on that day, the killers speaking Nagamese, Tangkhul and Meitei languages should know well how far a 'captain' of the outfit could do before taking the bullets.
It stated that Meiteis are also one among the communities who are professional in warfare.
The outfit's armed wing, KFL, has also pay respect to two of its departed cadres by offering gun salute at its general headquarters.
It stated that the 'feengang lanmee' as well as the 'phijam lanmee' will begin launching a manhunt on the culprits involved in the killing of its cadres.
It stated that in case anybody is found suspected to be involved in the incident, including frontal organisations, the outfit will lay hands while urging all concerned to clarify the matter in public in order to save lives.
The statement also warned that the people will perish together unless the practice of acting as an instrument of communal disharmony at the instigation of the Union Home ministry is stop.
