Two new branch of FEW, Jiribam opened

Jiribam, August 26 2019:
Apart from opening two new branches of Friendly Environmental Warriors' (FEW), Jiribam at Borobekara and Jakuradhor, tree saplings were planted at these places led by DC, Jiribam yesterday.
As part of the programme, one minute silence was also observed for the untimely demise of Ex-Finance Minister of India, Arun Jaitley by the members of FEW including DC Jiribam.
The tree plantation programme and the opening of the new branches of FEW was attended by Mayanglangbam Rajkumar, DC Jiribam; K Saratkumar Singh, Vice-Chairman, Food and Industries Co-operations Ltd; L Bobby Sharma, ADC Jiribam; H Basulal Singh, Addl SP, Jiribam; and Ch Ibomcha Singh, DFO, Jiribam.
About 30 members of FEW including members of FEW women wing were also present in the programme.
Branch of FEW at Jakuradhor was opened with Paritosh Das as President and M Romeo Singh as Advisor.
Later, led by DC Jiribam, members of FEW and locals planted tree saplings around the new branch.
Speaking at the occasion, DC Jiribam Mayanglangbam Rajkumar appealed the locals to extend support to the initiative of FEW to make Jiribam a green district adding that the district administration will also extend all possible help to make the mission a success.
The second branch of FEW was opened at Borobekara in a simple function held at Borobekara Bazar by working president of FEW L Phantomas Singh with P Jiten Singh as President of the branch.
Regarding the programme, K Saratkumar Singh, Vice-Chairman, Food and Industries Co-operations Ltd urged all to make 'Jiri Green Mission' taken up by FEW Jiribam in line with CM's 'Green Mission' by planting more bamboo tree to improve the economic opportunity of the district.
Later, saplings were planted in and around Borobekara bazaar.
