A project of the Believers Church, Bridge of Hope - a child care project aiming to provide free education to poor children has been inaugurated today at S Kotlian village in Churachandpur district.
Speaking on the occasion, advisor of Believers' Church, Rev S Prim Vaiphei said the aim of the project is to provide free education to needy children.
He said disadvantaged children should be given moral, physical, social as well as mental education in order to mould and shape them for important pillars of the future.
These are the aims of the project.
State Secretary of Believers Church, Pastor Ch Japha Aimol said at present 16 child care projects known as Bridge of Hopes were launched by Believers Church so far.
He added that 1400 children are accommodated under its child care project.
Poor children are given free education from beginners' stage up to XII standard under the project.
The project at Bangla Kotlian accommodated 100 children.
