A combined team of security force, who searched a house at Nongmaikhong Mayai leikai in the search of UG cadres reportedly confiscated household goods besides ransacking the house.
One of two sons in the family is informed to have a CRPF personnel who was slain in a militant ambush in Jammu and Kashmir.
The combined team also took service document of the deceased CRPF jawan identified as Salam Iboyaima.
The search and subsequent ransacking of the house comes close on the heels of an 11-year old girl Bidyarani from the same area picked-up by a combined team and later detained in police custody on the charge of providing shelter to UG elements.

today's incident is said to have occurred at noon when the joint team comprising of personnel of the Assam Rifles and Waikhong police station raided the house of one Salam Sanayaima (70) and accused the family of not only harbouring UGs but that the household goods were purchased by the UGs.
Soon after the security team arrived, meira paibis of Nongmaikhong Chaokhat Thourang Nupi Lup converged and since then are staying vigil so that such incident do not recur.
According to some of the meira paibis, the combined team showed up in five Maruti Gypsys and a 407 truck and encircled Sanayaima's house where only his wife namely Ashangbi was alone as Sanayaima had left for Shija Hospital in the morning.
Upon observing the security team intensely questioning Ashangbi to produce weapons allegedly hidden by the UGs and going on the rampage scattering household goods, the meira paibis intervened, they said adding that the security team was accompanied by a young person who addressed Ashangbi as 'Ima'.
The unidentified youngster, likely to be about 14-15 years, also reminded to the elderly housewife that he had meal at the house the previous night.
As both Ashangbi and the meira paibis accused the youth of lying, the security team threatened to open fire apart from abusing the womenfolk, the meira paibis recounted and added that the joint security team expressed suspicion on the number of bed (five) to which the womenfolk explained the family has two son and same number of daughter with one of girls divorced and living in the same house.
