6-months free remedial coaching launched at Kebol High School

A 'six month free remedial coaching' under the Chief Minister's Lairik Yengminnasi Programme 2018-19 has been launched today at Kebol High School, Sagolband, Imphal.
The remedial coaching is being organised by Manipur Minorities and OBC Economic Development Society (MOBEDS) (Department of MA, OBC & SC) under the aegis of MLA RK Imo.
Speaking at the event as chief guest, Director Welfare of OBC and SC, Ng Bhogendra Meitei said that the programme aims at grooming the students and improving education.
Saying that the remedial coaching will prove beneficial to the students, he encouraged students to actively participate and accept the guidance of the teachers for their future endeavours.
Minority Affairs Director Ng Uttam who attended the event as president categorically stated that the share of Government in bringing quality education is 60 percent while that of the parents, guardian and society is 40 percent.

All must work irrespective of politics to develop education, he said urging the school management committee and to shun politics when it comes to education.
He also urged the teachers to impart education with sincerity and dedication.
Government teachers should try their best to attract students, he said while appealing public not to discourage/demoralise Government school and teachers.
MOBEDS Assistant Project Officer Md Alam said that the coaching programme was first launched in 2006/2007 for minority Muslim students.
ST and OBC students were added from 2017 after CM Biren led Government came, he said.
Performance of the students of the coaching programme have been great, he added while informing that a felicitation programme is being planned of the students on July 2 .
Kebol High School Headmistress RK (O) Gungaru Devi and president Laishram Nobo Singh attended the event.
