Team from Assam leave for Myanmar to enhance trade & commerce

A team comprising MLAs and officers of various department of Assam, who are on a tour to enhance the trade & commerce between India, Bangladesh and Myanmar, after holding a meeting with the officials of Govt of Bangladesh and business leaders of various entity at DC office, Bangladesh on June 27, returned at Border Town Moreh yesterday and held a meeting today at around 9.30 am with the Govt officials and many business persons at Conference Hall, ICP, Moreh.
In the meeting, threadbare deliberations to increase the size of businesses between Myanmar and India were held.
Later, the team after inspecting the way the things are managed in the ICP, left for Myanmar to meet the Govt officials of Myanmar at Mandalay and business leaders.
The team on the tour include MLAs from Assam viz Aminul Haque Laskar, Joyram Engleng, Dipak Kumar Rabha, Suman Haripriya, Mrinal Saikia, Kushal Dowari, Debananda Hazarika, Ranoj Pegu and officials of various department of Assam viz Jishnu Barua (IAS), Addl Chief Secretary, Social Welfare; Avinash Purushottam Das Joshi (IAS), Principal Secretary, Water Resources; SS Meenakshi Sundaram (IAS), Commissioner & Secretary, AEPA, Industries; Virendra Mittal (IAS), Commissioner, Transport and MD - AIDC; Umananda Doley ACS, Secretary, Industries; Ruby Sarma ACS, Joint Secretary, Transport; Dhrubajyoti Das ACS, Joint Secretary, Elementary Education; Nazreen Ahmed ACS, Director, Municipal Administration; Deba Kumar Mishra ACS, Director, Tourism; Ranjit Mazumdar, OSD to HCM; Sazzad Alam ACS, Deputy Secretary, Industries and Commerce.
