Governor, others send Yaoshang wishes

Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has conveyed heartfelt greetings and wishes to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Holi/Yaoshang.
Praying for the festival to rejuvenate and strengthen the age old bond of love, harmony and understanding in the society, she stated that it is heartening to see games and sports becoming increasingly popular as an integral item during the festival in the State.
Urging the people of the State to try and pave the way for a better and peaceful Manipur where every community respect the other and appreciate the space and functions of other communities, the Governor once again conveyed heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of the State on the joyous occasion of Yaoshang.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh also conveyed warm greetings to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Yaoshang.
He stated that Yaoshang is a unique festival that brings people closer in a spirit of brotherhood and brings social harmony amongst the different communities of the State.
The Chief Minister further prayed for the festival to bring peace and prosperity in the State.
Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Y Khemchand Singh also wished the people of Manipur on the occasion of Yaoshang and urged the people to celebrate the festival with peace and tranquillity.
Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar extended warm greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Yaoshang.
On the other hand, MAHUD Minister Th Shyamkumar and Works Minister Th Biswajit also conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Yaoshang.
