ALL TRIBAL Students Union Manipur asked the Manipur government to seriously look into the present road condition of the National Highway 39 which connects the state with the rest of the country without delay.
"Many promises and review on the works on the National Highway 39 roads had been made from time to time with any tangible result"argues Thomas Taishya,General Secretary of ATSUM said in a statement issued here today.
The students body also appealed to government of Manipur particularly the Public Works Department to take up the issue of rebuilding the life line of the state without any delay.
ATSUM also strongly urged the government of Manipur to look into the senapati district students association genuine demands on behalf of the peoples of the district.
Appealing to take up development of the national highway on a priority basis,it urged both state government and senapati district students association to sit together and resolve the economic blockade which begins from November 1 last in the interest of the public.
