Jayantakumar urges public to consult health and wellness centre regularly

Maintaining that healthy foods and regular exercises are the main components of healthy lifestyle, Health and Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar has urged the public to visit/consult health and wellness centre regularly for prevention of various diseases.
He made the statement during a function organised by State Food'Safety Commissioner, Health Department in connection with "Prabhat Pheri (Morning Walk)" at the auditorium of State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), Porompat DC Complex yesterday.
Prabhat Pheri (Morning Walk) which was organised under Swacch Bharat Yatra was flagged off by L Jayantakumar from west Kangla gate and finished at the auditorium of SIRD.
The rally (Pan India Cyclothon) was initiated for North East zone from Arunachal Pradesh.
For Manipur, the rally began from Jiribam on 24, last month.
Adding that construction work for food safety unit has been completed, L Jayantakumar claimed that the unit will start operating by the end of November.
He also maintained that a food testing laboratory has been established at Lamphel to check various foods coming from Myanmar and other places.
Director of Health Services, Dr K Rajo Singh, Kshetrigao AC MLA, N Indrajit and Yaiskul AC MLA Th Satyabrata Singh also attended the event as dignitaries.
