Two days State level consultation programme

A two day State Level consultation on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights has started at the conference hall of Institute of Co-operative Management (ICM), Lamphelpat today.
Nonibala Narengbam attended the inaugural function, being organised by The Human Rights Law Network (Manipur), as moderator.
Dr Hemam Ibemcha Devi, State Nodal Officer, (RBSK) spoke on the theme "accessibility and awareness about adolescents sexual health clinics", while Dr L Somenkumar Singh, Senior Resident, RIMS stressed on "Abortion Rights, State abortion facility for women".
Speaking on the occasion, director of the organising committee, Meihoubam Rakesh said that many health societies are established under National Health Mission (NHM) to improve the living standard of the people and health care quality in the country.
The two days programme aims to provide benefits of the Government schemes to the women and infants.
The programme will empower women and provide them with legal helps to claim their rights on various Centre and State sponsored schemes/benefits, he said.
