The current clay brick manufacturing is a sector that requires immense firing process at high temperatures and to maintain this temperature a large amount of fuel in the form of wood, coal, biomass etc need to be burnt in the kiln causing serious issues of air pollution, while the newly developed eco-brick being a sun dried brick, is more environment friendly and economical, added the statement.
The team's objective is to come up with a market compatible product with better composition and strength in the near future, added the statement.
The team, in the statement, has also appreciated the guidance and knowledge shared by Dr Bhabeswar Tongbram, Vice Chancellor MTU.
