Two more file nominations for Inner seat

Imphal, March 25 2014:
Two more persons filed their nomination papers to contest in the ensuing 16th Lok Sabha election for the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency today, thus, taking the total number of aspiring candidates for the Inner seat to seven, so far.
Sarangthem Manaobi of All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) and Oinam Jotin of Jai Maha Bharath Party filed their nomination papers today to Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West, K Radhakumar, who is the Returning Officer (RO) today.
Earlier, Dr T Meinya (INC), Dr M Nara (CPI), Dr RK Ranjan (BJP), Dr G Tonsana Sharma (MDPF) and Oinam Indira (Independent) have submitted their nomination papers for Inner seat which would go to poll on April 17 .

The last date of filing nominations for the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency is tomorrow.
The scrutiny would be done on March 27 and the last date of withdrawal of nominations or candidatures is March 29 .
Talking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today after submitting his nomination papers to the Returning Officer, Trinamool nominee Manaobi said that he had served as a Judicial Magistrate and also as the Commandant of Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB).
He has joined politics and decided to contest the Lok Sabha election with a firm determination to bring a change in the State, where there is no good governance.
He would work for the repeal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and safeguard the territorial integrity of the State if he is elected to the Indian Parliament.
He would also try to resolve all other issues of the State, Manaobi added.
Trinamool MLAs Dr I Ibohalbi and Th Shyamkumar along with several other leaders of Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress were also present during the press conference.
