4th Naturopathy Day observed

The 4th Naturopathy Day was observed today at the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Hall, Lamphelpat jointly organised by the State AYUSH Society, Directorate of AYUSH and International Naturopathy Organisation, Manipur Branch.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr A Guneshwor Sharma, Director of AYUSH Directorate said practicing Yoga and Naturopathy regularly will help in increasing one's lifespan.
Emphasizing on the importance of the observation of the day, he continued that the Naturopathy Day is observed since 2018 with an aim to promote positive mental and physical health through Naturopathy which is also known as Drugless therapy.
Speaking about the numerous benefits of herbs and vegetables found locally in Manipur, he appealed to all to incorporate it in our daily diet for a healthy life and to increase its longevity.

Expressing concern over the increasing hazardous lifestyle disorders due to excessive dependence on harmful substances and food habits, he urged all to stay close to nature and to follow its course.
Further he appealed to all to strictly follow Covid SOPs and to get vaccinated inorder to tackle the Coronavirus effectively.
Today's programme was also attended by the Additional director AYUSH and Member Secretary , State Ayush Society Manipur, Dr M Shyamjai Singh and member of International Naturopathy Organisation Manipur Branch, Dr M Rajkumar Singh as the presidium members.
