Dimapur, February 04 2014:
The forest fire at Mount Japfu in Kohima district has been raging for one week now but it is yet to be completely contained.
The forest fire which broke out on January 30 is reportedly spreading fast towards the scenic Dzukou Valley and the local youths in collaboration with personnel of paramilitary forces are trying hard to control it.

An army chopper was used today for transporting fire dousing gases to Mt Japfu from Rangapahar.
If the fire is not contained in the next couple of days, Dzukou Valley will be affected.
