Solar plant lights up Mayang Imphal PHC

With the installation of a 5 KW solar power plant under the initiative of Works Minister Dr.Kh.
Ratankumar, who is also the local MLA, the Primary Health Centre at Mayang Imphal now face no longer shortage of power like before.
The solar power plant has been installed by Shiv Shankar Solar System, Moirangkhom.
The Solar power plant inaugurated by Dr..SBimolakumari Devi, CMO, Imphal West, who is also the Mission Director of NRHM during a function today as chief guest.
Dr..NIbochouba Singh, MO in-charge of Mayang Imphal PHC and Khumukcham Ongbi Ibemcha Devi, General Secretary of Manipur State Mahila Congress Committee were also present on the occasion as functional president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ibochouba pointed out that medical staffs working in the PHC day and night used to face lots of inconveniences when electric power went off.
They used generators for power back up during power load shedding as there is no dedicated power line facility.
But the installation of a 5KW solar power plant has come as a boon to the patients as well as to the medical staffs.
He also thanked the Works Minister for his initiative to facilitate the health centre with regular solar power supply.
