Conference to evaluate economic conditions of daily wage earners held

A one-day conference to evaluate economic conditions of daily wage earners and problems they have been enduring was organised today at Keishampat Lairembi community hall by Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Manipur State.
Speaking as the chief guest, Sangh's national secretary N Tomba Singh said objective of the conference was to assess extent of exploitation of the labourers, low wage payment and other various other issues besetting the daily wage earners.
Stating that the Sangh had been touring States in the North East region since january 23 to study work environment and wage ceiling which would continue in the coming day, Tomba said Manipur alone has 60,000 Sangh members from various corners of the State.
issues besieging the labour community would be discussed at a national level conference, added the secretary.
Sangh's Manipur State president Kh Binodini Devi, national secretary (organisation) Krishna Chandra Mishra and NE zonal in-charge Devendra K Pandey also attended the conference.
