The United Committee Manipur (UCM) has sought help from all concerned for the successful observance of The Great June Uprising, 2009 at Kekrupat on June 18 to pay obeisance to the lives lost in protest against the incorporation of 'without territorial limit' in the Bangkok agreement.
A statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Secretary of UCM, Kh Nilamani Kha-Nganba appeals all concerned to attend the observance function by abstaining from their daily engagement and urged all concerned individuals, groups, and government agencies not to cause disturbances to the function.
Seeking the cooperation of the public in cash and kind, the statement appeals the people to contribute whatever for the success of the programme.
It added that a 22-member finance team of UCM has been constituted and the members were issued an identity card signed by the convenor of UCM Finance sub-committee Bm Yaima Shah while urging all government security officers and police personnel to extend cooperation to the card holders.
It also stated that no ordinary UCM card holder has been assigned any works relating to finance.
