Imphal, January 16, 2012:
The Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has pointed out the errors in the recently conducted Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive (MCSCC) preliminary examinations conducted on September 9, 2011 and its result declared on September 24, 2011, thereby declaring it null and void and pressed for re-conducting the exam all over again.
Addressing media person at the organizations office at Keishampat today, LC Santosh, President, DESAM said that 7 questions which were asked in the MCSCC prelims examination were incorrect.
The questions include question number 15, 45, 48, 53, 90, 144 and 167 of Booklet B.Moreover the questions in booklet number 1326 of Booklet A were also repeated and the repeated section was also torn and pasted.
He further said that 24 questions asked in the exam were extracted from cbscaada.bloksport.com.
it was mainly because the questions were extracted from the Quiz contest organised by the CBSE and put up in the website, that a number of questions proved to be false.
Even though there are strict guidelines that relatives of the officials including the Secretary, Chairman and members of MPSC were not allowed to appear in the exam, there were some candidates from the said category.
As such DESAM has no faith in the MCSCC prelims exam conducted.
He also pointed out that the said exam was conducted in such way that the candidates were made to sign in the right corner of their answer script, though the act was strictly prohibited.
This type of competitive exam is never seen conducted in any par of the world.
It is a clear case that the exam was conducted according to the whims of a handful of people.
He also pointed out the errors in the results of the MCSCC prelims exam conducted on September 24, 2011 saying that if the errors are overlooked and are not corrected in time than the situation of the state will deteriorate further.
The errors have been brought to light after a thorough checking by DESAM and as such the exam should be re conducted.
If the MPSC pays no heed to the request from the student's organization, DESAM will even go to the law court and file a PIL against MPSC.
If required it will also take up various other agitations.
He further said that a memorandum will be submitted to then Governor of Manipur for his intervention in the issue.
He also appealed to hand the issue over to the CBI.
