Imphal, January 06 2013 :
The Kangleipak Women Welfare Association has threatened to launch a mass agitation if NSCN-IM's Livingstone is not arrested at the earliest.
Speaking at a sit-in-protest cum discussion programme at Sega Road, Thouda Bhabok Leikai today, president of the association AK Memcha alleged that the Government has been protecting Livingstone.
Unless and until there is strong and sustained mass movement, the Government would never pull up Livingstone, she asserted.
The Government's cash reward of Rs five lakhs on the head of Livingstone is a clear case of hoodwinking the public.
Livingstone's bestial crime of molesting and assaulting a film actress should not be seen as a crime against a single woman.
It was a crime against all women.
Even as a film actress has been humiliated and assaulted in full public view, the three MLAs of Manipur are maintaining stoic silence.
They did not even bothered to condemn the incident, Memcha observed.

When NSCN-IM has been committing all kinds of criminal activities in the State like killing drivers, blocking highways, robbery and murders, the Govt of Manipur has been acting mute and blind.
This implied that the Government has been condoning guilty cadres of the outfit.
Memcha claimed that all preparations have been completed to launch mass agitation in case Livingstone is not brought to book in the next couple of days.
Today's protest demonstration was organised by the Thouda Bhabok Women Development Society urging several demands like arrest of Livingstone, punishment of all the culprits involved in Napetpalli outrage, closure of all NSCN-IM's designated camps in Manipur, punishment of police personnel involved in killing journalist Th Dwijamani etc.
