Man attacked with swords

Imphal, January 06 2013 :
A man sustained serious injuries when he was attacked by two youths with swords from behind while he was waiting for a bus in a waiting shed at Lilong Nungei today.
The incident occurred at around 11 am today at Lilong Nungei bus waiting shed under Lilong Police Station.
The injured man has been identified as Md Anjab Ali (55), s/o late Md Abdul Matlib of Thoubal Khekman Amakcham.
He sustained deep cuts on the face and head and is being treated at JNIMS.
His condition is stated to be critical.
The two youths who attacked Md Anjab Ali with swords from behind have also been identified as Md Sahid (25) and Md Farish (18).Both of them are the sons of Ishud Ali, the younger brother of Md Anjab Ali.
According to family members, Md Sahid and Md Farish attacked Md Anjab Ali with swords while he was waiting for a bus at Lilong Nungei waiting shed to go the bank for withdrawing his salaries.
Earlier there were some confrontations between Md Anjab Ali and the two sons of Ishud Ali and his house was even burnt down by them, thus compelling to go and live at his wife's place.
The family members of Md Anjab Ali have lodged a complaint with Lilong police station in connection with today's attack.
