Imphal, September 18, 2009:
The proscribed KCP (MC) has claimed responsibility for the abortive 'car-bomb' planted at the Raj Bhavan here this afternoon.
A press release issued by the outfit's military affairs secretary, Lanheiba Meitei, said that the car-bomb was planted by the 5th Unit Special Demo Team of the outfit's Lanjaba Tenggol.
Citing today's incident, the KCP (MC) asserted that agents of the Government of India should know the capability of the outfit to breach any security cordon, however tight it may be.
It accused Governor Gurbachan Jagat of being the 'mastermind' of the extra-judicial killings being perpetrated in the State.
Retired Gurbachan Jagat of 1966 Batch, Punjab cadre, in his capacity as DIG (Intelligence and Security), was deeply involved in killing hundreds of innocent people inside the sacred Golden Temple in the course of Operation Blue Star on June 3, 1984, it alleged.
Again during his tenure as the DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, Gurbachan was instrumental in setting up Special Police Officers (SPOs) and was fairly successful in pitching Kashmiris against Kashmiris.
Since Gurbachan Jagat took over as Governor of Manipur on July 23, 2008, extra-judicial killings and fake encounters have stepped up alarmingly, the outfit alleged adding that he has also succeeded in setting up SPOs in Manipur too.
The indigenous people of Manipur should not take any word of the agents of the Government of India for they never respect the people of Manipur as citizens of India.
This was testified beyond any doubt by the response of the Government of India to the people's mass movement against the July 23 incident, it alleged.
It is disheartening to note that DGP Y Joykumar spoke in support of the fake encounter.
Just as General Arun Shridhar, the master-brain of Operation Blue Star was shot dead on August 10, 1986 at Pune after his retirement, the KCP (MC) asserted that the commandos involved in the July 23 should be punished.
Declaring that it supports all armed campaign launched by the RPF's army wing PLA against the security forces, Lanheiba said that, though the outfit is small in strength, it has selected two units from its armed wing KFL to attack security forces.
Joining hands among insurgents would not only bring success in the liberation struggle but also go a long way in winning people's faith in the liberation movement, it noted.
Seeking people's continued support to the KCP (MC) and its armed KFL, it reiterated that no revolutionary movement can achieve success without's people participation and cooperation.
