In connection with Id-ul-Fitre, People's United Liberation Front (PULF) has provided financial assistance to the family members of its departed cadres.
Secretary organisation of the armed outfit Miss Nilofer Chanu handed over the monetary aid to the family members of the departed cadres during a simple function held at a place in Imphal East district yesterday.
Speaking at the occasion, Nilofer said it is for the fifth time that the outfit has provided monetary aid to the family members of the departed cadres to enable them participation in the festivities of Id-ul-Fitre which is to be celebrated either on September 21 or 22 to mark the end of month-long Ramzan fast.
She also informed that distribution of such financial assistance to the family members of around 600 selected departed cadres would continue till Sunday.
Deputy secretary of the outfit Arif Khan also read out a message given by its chairman Adam Lashkar on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitre.
In the message, Lashkar said Id-ul-Fitre is a sacred celebration for all those Rozadar who have observed Ramzan faithfully.
He also prayed to Allah for forgiveness for all the sins committed and wished that celebration would bring about peace and love among the people.
He also appealed to all to observed Id-ul-fitre in its true spirit.
Appealing to all the religious leaders, local clubs and women societies to ensure the celebration of the festival in its true spirit, he also warned against indulging in gambling, consumption of intoxicant items and doing anything against the rule of purdah by young girls and end the celebration by 6.30 pm.
To ensure no untoward incident are occurred during the course of the celebration, a special mobile team of the outfit would be deployed, Lashkar said in his message.
