State girls top in DU, NEIGRIMHS exams

Imphal, July 23 2012:
Khumanthem Diana Devi of Singjamei Top Thongam Leikai broke the previous record and sets a new record in B Sc examination, 2012 (Physics Hons) under Delhi University by securing 1276 marks out of 1350 (94.5 percent) .
Diana is the 2nd daughter of Khumanthan Chandramani Singh, who is the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Range-II in Manipur Police and Thounaojam Ningol Khumanthem Ongbi Ibeyaima Devi.
She also stood 1st position in Matriculation Examination, 2007 under BOSEM and secured 94.6 percent marks in the Class XII examination, 2009 under CBSE from Delhi Public School, Mathura Road.
Congratulating Diana on her stupendous success and bringing laurels to her family and the state, District Police, Thoubal have wished her more glory in all her future endeavours.
On the other hand, another girl from the state, Brenda Latsaheb secured first position in the NEIGRIHMS MBBS entrance 2012, the results of which was announced today.
She obtained a total mark of 130 out of 200 .
Brenda is the daughter of Dr.Potsangbam Latsaheb Singh who is an Orthopaedic surgeon and Commandant medical, SSB and Sharmila Latsaheb of Heirangoithong Bazar, Jaganath Achaoba.
Brenda did her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tezpur, Assam.
Besides, Brenda Latsaheb, 10 other Manipuri boys and girls also featured in the top 20 position of the NEIGRIHMS MBBS entrance 2012 .
They are Thingujam Joshila Devi (2nd position), Thokchom Rakesh Singh (4th position), Kongkham Merina (5th position), Nirvana Thangjam (8th position), Mercy Ngairangbam (9th position), Monika Nahakpam (10th position), Sonia Moirangthem (12th position), Moirangthem Sangita (13th position), Dinesh Achom (18th position), Chitra Devi Khumanthem (20th position) .
