Training programme on mercury free initiative

The Rural Health Organisation (RHO), Naoremthong organised a one-day training cum awareness programme for health care staff on mercury free initiative in health care sectors in Manipur at the training hall of Shija Hospitals and Research Institute today.
The programme was held under the sponsorship of Environmental Equity and Justice Partnership (EEJP), New Delhi and in collaboration with Toxics Link, New Delhi, Manipur Pollution Control Board, Chief Medical Officer, Imphal West and District Family Welfare Officer, Imphal West.
A total of 50 health care staff from different health care sectors participated in the training programme, said a press release.
RHO general secretary Dr H Indramani Singh, Imphal West CEO Dr S Bimolakumari Devi, Shija Hospitals Managing Director Dr Kh Palin and Senior Environmental Engineer of Manipur Pollution Control Board, Minaketan Singh attended the programme as president, chief guest and guests of honour respectively.
