Lions Club of Moirang

SK Dhar, District Governor, Lions Club International District 322-D visited Lions and Lioness Club of Moirang on September 7 .
He was warmly welcomed at the premises of Diligent Public School, Moirang with lionistic tradition.
During SK Dhar's visit, BOD meeting of the club was held with district cabinet members.
In the said function, two teachers namely Ph Arunkumar Singh, Head Master, Konjeng Junior High School, Moirang and S Usharani Devi, assistant teacher, Mukta High School, Moirang were honoured with the best teachers of the year 2015 award sponsored by Lions and Lioness Club of Moirang.
As an innovative project, 41 orphan students belonging to BPL families reading in different classes were sponsored free studentship for the academic session 2015 at the project cost of Rs 2,82,500 .
The project cost would be donated by Ph Nobin Singh and K Bijayarani Devi of the club.
The District Governor applauded the activities of the club, particularly distribution of relief materials to the flood affected victims of Napat, Tangjeng, Pombikhok, Chandonpokpi in Kumbi Assembly Constituency.
The two clubs also organised free medical camps for the flood affected people of these villages.
