Joint Action Committee, Sadar Hills in connection with the killing of protesters in Churachandpur has imposed a 24-hour total bandh along National Highway 2 or Trans Asian Highway No-1 within Sadar Hills from midnight of September 10 till midnight of September 11 .
JAC Sadar Hills took the decision after a meeting at Kangpokpi Town Committee Office where action plan and expansion of its executive members were minutely discussed.
The JAC was formed on September 7 during a meeting of civil society organisations held at Multi-Purpose Hall, SHADC Kangpokpi.
The meeting decided to coordinate and streamline the present movement headed by the tribal apex bodies.
The 24-hour Sadar Hills total bandh has been called in protest against the three Bills passed recently by Manipur Government and the brutal killing of nine protesters in Churachandpur.

Those on school duty, wedding party, passengers heading to airport, religious/pilgrimage party, medical/hospital, electricity, fire services, PHED/Water supply and media have been exempted from the purview of the bandh.
