Imphal, February 10 2009:
CPI leader Dr M Nara has left for Beijing today to take part in an international level meeting on "Economic Globalisation and Trade Unions" scheduled for February 12 and 13 at the Chinese capital, informed a CPI Manipur State Council release.
The meeting is being organised by the All China Federation of Trade Unions in the back drop of the economic crisis being faced across the world including capitalist countries like the USA.
Dr Nara would be representing the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) at the Beijing meet.
He is also the vice-president of AITUC.
Representatives of labour unions from Asia, Africa, Latin America, Europe and Australia would be attending the meet, added the release.
