Lower Primary Schools are foundation of good education: Dr Meinya

Lok Sabha MP Dr Th Meinya has stated on Sunday good Lower Primary Schools have immense role to play in improving the quality education system in Manipur.
Dr Meinya was speaking on the occasion of 68th foundation day celebration and general session of Manipur chapter of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) at Manipur Press Club here.
The MP added, "We need good education to know the intrinsic values of democracy.
We need proper etiquette and moral discipline to become good citizens" .
He added one should not be choosy about the type of work because all kinds of works should be respected by all.
Dr Meinya also underlined the need for maintaining love and peace among all communities and stated that in a democratic form of Government the supreme power is vested in the people.
He assured that he would request the Revenue Department for allocation of land for construction of an office building for INTUC.
INTCU general secretary Yumnam Ranapratap who was also present during the event said that the trade union has been working and coordinating with Congress party.
He stated that ensuring social security and promoting life of all workers are the foremost task.
