The BJP MP said Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, who was a former BJP leader and philosopher wanted the people of India to unite leaving behind their differences.
On the political scenario in Manipur, Patel said, "I visited the Loktak Lake and came to know that Manipur Government had looted Rs 500 crore the Government of India sanctioned for developmental works related to the fresh water lake.
The issue was even raised in the parliament" .
Patel while promising to provide assistance in uprooting the culture of corruption in Manipur said "Discrimination does not exist in BJP and I am willing to visit Manipur in future to work with women and the youth" .
After joining the BJP, O Joy said "I became a Manipur People's Party (MPP) minister, MLA and even a speaker during my long tenure as a politician but joined the BJP as I admired the party's principles aimed at developing the nation including Manipur under Prime Minister Narendra Modi" .
He said that "Manipur is 30% underdeveloped when India develops.
When West Bengal is developed, it does not mean that the whole country is developed.
