Governor, CM, others wish on R-Day

Governor Dr Najma Heptulla, Chief Minister N Biren, MPs Dr Ranjan, K Bhabananda and many others have greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Republic Day.
The Governor in her message greeted the people and said, "It was one this day in 1950, that we gave ourselves the Constitution which is the guiding principle of our country.
On this occasion, we should revere and offer our homage to those founding fathers for their foresight and understanding".
"India is poised to become one of the leading Nations of the world.
Its progress in science and technology backed by young and dynamic population will usher the country to greater heights," she said.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh also greeted the people and said "it is a day to remember when India's Constitution came into force on January 26, 1950 completing India's emergence as an independent country from the ashes of the British Empire" .
"I also extend my gratitude to our great freedom fighters who made untold sacrifices for the cause of India's independence.
Let us resolve to work with firm commitment towards a peaceful, corruption-free Manipur and live up to the values enshrined in the Constitution," said the Chief Minister.
Lok Sabha MP Dr Ranjan too greeted the people on Republic Day.
" I am proud to be a citizen of India which ensures the fundamental rights of every citizen...let us strive to protect and preserve the foundational ethics of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity as enshrined in the Constitution," he said.
Works Minister Th Biswajit too extended his wishes to the people on the occasion.
"Let us rededicate ourselves to unite and be the strength of our Nation and help it reach the greatest heights," he said in his message.
